MOSQUE PROJECTS

The rewards for building a Masjid are immense, as multiple Sadaqah Jariyah deeds are in-store for those who fund it.

​Prophet Muhammad ﷺ mentioned “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.” (Al Bukhari and Muslim)

​100% Sadaqah Jariyah | 100% Donation Policy
Small Mosque (Ghana) - £3,500
  • Size - 6m x 6m
  • Capacity - up to 40 people (men and women)
  • Wudhu provision - no wudhu facilities are built, however, worshippers can access a nearby clean water source.
  • Included - bulb lighting, audio system and ceiling fans
  • Usage - 5 daily prayers, regular children Qur'an learning and Islamic education, Ramadan night prayers and nikkah ceremonies.
  • Cost - £3500 approx. £88 per prayer space
  • More than 60 Small Mosques across Ghana have been successfully built by SRF and being used so far Alhamdulilah.
Medium Mosque (Ghana) - £7,950
  • Size - 10m x 10m
  • Capacity - up to 120 people (men and women)
  • Wudhu provision - no wudhu facilities are built, however, worshippers can access a nearby clean water source.
  • Toilets - one for men and one for women installed near the mosque
  • Included - bulb lighting, audio system and ceiling fans
  • Usage - 5 daily prayers, Jummah prayer, regular children Qur'an learning and Islamic education, Ramadan night prayers and nikkah ceremonies.
  • Cost - £7950 approx. £67 per prayer space
  • More than 12 Medium Mosques across Ghana have been successfully built by SRF and being used so far Alhamdulilah.
Large Mosque (Nigeria) - £10,000
  • Size - 15m x 10m
  • Capacity - up to 220 people (men and women)
  • Wudhu provision - wudhu facilities from a nearby clean water source.
  • Toilets - construction of a toilet block will be built
  • Included - solar lighting system, audio system, ceiling fans and roll out mats
  • Usage - 5 daily prayers, Jummah prayer, regular children Qur'an learning and Islamic education
  • Cost - £10,000 approx. £45 per prayer space
  • More than 42 Large Mosques across Nigeria have been successfully built by SRF and being used so far Alhamdulilah.
Notes:
  • We aim to provide you updates during construction and an update upon completion in the form of pictures or videos, in sha Allah. Mosque projects take up to 9 months to complete, however, sometimes this can exceed 9 months depending on location, Insha'Allah. The completed Mosque may slightly differ from the example pictures as they are for illustration purposes only.
  • Kindly note, we can't guarantee to have the completed project's pictures and videos in our storage after we have sent you the relevant update.
  • Donating the full amount for a Mosque entitles you to a personalised name plaque which includes the name of the Mosque and who it was funded by. If a name for the Mosque is not given, SRF will name the Mosque after the village.
  • For ease and logistics we do not accommodate any additional requests during construction (e.g. adding new features, changing the design etc) or after completion (e.g. special events). The maintenance and operation of the Mosque will be managed by our Local Partner. The location of the Mosque can be provided if the donor wishes to visit in the future at their own expense.
  • If there are any surplus funds from the project they will go back in to the SRF Mosque Project Fund and used towards building new Mosques or maintaining existing Mosques, in sha Allah.
  • All our Mosque projects are done with local partners who oversee the projects on the ground, follow the Quran and the authentic sunnah of our Prophet ﷺ according to the way of the Prophet ﷺ's companions (RA).
  • Post completion inspections are periodically undertaken, but we can't guarantee post completion updates.
  • SRF do not accept Zakat donations.
