SRF Sponsor a Student project have begun sponsoring 2 new students today. The 2 students are sisters and both are children from Chesham, UK. The single mother of these students was finding it difficult to afford to pay for a Qur'an teacher therefore SRF took this opportunity of Sadaqah Jariyah and provided both students with a part scholarship.  Our 'Books of knowledge' project has reached the USA! We have received requests from sisters in America who want to learn more about their deen and we have dispatched a collection of books! Allahu Akbar!
 Today SRF had a collection at Green Lane Masjid. Al-hamdulilah the collection was very successful as we raised over £2000. 100% of these donations will go to our projects.
Our volunteers also had an awareness stall in the car park where many people got to learn about SRF for the 1st time. A SRF promotional video was played on a projector which created a great atmosphere after the Tarawih prayer. The first opportunity of Sadaqah Jariyah the SRF Islamic Audio project has found is Al Furqan Education Centre who required support in installing an Audio system in preparation for Ramadhaan. SRF were quick to respond and donated £250 towards the Audio Equipment. Below is the feedback we received:

SRF supported a student in Riyadh who was in need of financial support. Below was the feedback from the student once funds had been received:
"I am a current Islamic student in one of the Islamic Universities in Saudi Arabia. I am originally from America, a convert of over 10 years, and I appreciate the charity that was given to me. I will benefit from it in multiple ways. It will help go towards books, food, clothing, and also other expenses that I encounter on a daily basis that assist me in seeking knowledge. May Allah reward any and all of those involved in giving." |
