A Gambian brother residing in Birmingham informed us about his uncles' madaaris in Gambia. These madaaris run in the urban and rural areas of Gambia. They teach children from beginners to intermediary, and have up to thirty students per class. Because they don't take any fee for their classes as they are working for the sake of Allah and the benefit of the community, they are short on funds for resources needed. The brother requested sixty copies of the Tajweed Quran, allowing all the students to memorise past the first juzz with ease inshaa Allah. We ask Allah to bless these brothers and their efforts at making the gaining of knowledge accessible for Gambian residents, ameen.

For a Muslim to become deep rooted in their religion, one of the most important things they can have is a sold base and understanding of the religion. This base is best put in place while they are young, as they learn and explore different things. It's vital to keep them grounded and aware of the basics of the religion.
Thus, Masjid Tawfiq in Coventry are holding and Islamic Education programme for children wherein they will have a solid understanding of Tawheed and be taught strong Islamic moral character based on the understanding of the noble Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh), inshaa Allah. For these classes, the masjid requested twenty copies of book one of Islamic Studies by Dr Bilal Philips, and twenty seven copies of book two of Islamic Studies. We ask Allah to keep them steadfast upon the religion of Allah, and we ask Him to continue the support we have for this beautiful sadaqah jariyah project, ameen. The Women's centre in Bradford is an incredible place for women and children to learn about Islam and increase their knowledge about the deen. They hold many activities on a weekly basis such as a Quran class, a Sisters' circle and a youth club once every fortnight.
They hold a da'wah stall which is available to all who come to their various events and classes, and are putting together Da'wah packs for the prayer room in their local shopping centre, enabling Muslims to learn more about their deen from safe, reliable sources. SRF were contacted and some resources were requested which will be put in good use in the various activities and classes that the Bradford women's centre holds on weekly and daily basis. We sent ten copies of the Tajweed Quran, ten copies of the last ten juzz, thirty copies of Fortress of a Muslim, twenty copies of the Fundamentals of Tawheed, and fifty Travel companion CDs. It's uplifting and encouraging to see an institute that not only cares about its local community but also caters to women, and ensures that women get the education they need to be able to practice the deen more efficiently. We ask Allah to make them successful in their work and pour blessings in their endeavours, ameen. Seeking Reward Founation had the honour of providing a sister in Birmingham with one copy of Juzz Amma and one Travel Companion CD.
These small projects, though may not seem that important, have a huge impact on small families all around the world. They start young children on the vital road of knowledge, and complies with the sunnah of the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wassalam) of starting da'wah at home. We pray that Allah guides them and and rewards them for their endeavours in knowledge. We have sent Quran and books to Poland and this why! The person who made the request said: "I'll use it myself first, and then pass it on to anyone who might be interested in it (apart from Quran, which I'll keep for myself). I'd like to memorize certain parts of Quran, hence the request. As far as Tawheed is concerned, there is very little literature in Polish on the subject, so it'd be nice to have sources in English which I could use." A family in Birmingham, UK, are aspiring to start a new madrassah wherein they will teach children the Quran, inshaa Allah. They requested ten copies of the last three Juzz and five copies of Qaidah Baghdadi. Their madrassah will run five days a week, and the copies of Quran and Qadiah will be used daily by the students inshaa Allah.
We ask Allah to keep them steadfast and bless them in this noble endeavour, ameen. |
